 Professional StudiosOur professional facility has been designed with the safety and health of our clients in mind. it features:
- Two stage-sized studios
- (Two of the largest in the Metro Minneapolis area.)
- Professional wood floated floors
- (We believe you must have either floated floors or sprung floors for a professional studio with either wood, linoleum, or other danceable surface. Sprung floors require a great deal of annual maintenance and are rarely kept in the condition necessary to prevent injuries, thus we have opted for a more durable and injury prevention floor system. We do not believe that students should dance on concrete, carpet, non-floated floors, or sprung floors that are old, damaged, and not annually repaired. These kinds of floors can cause serious injuries such as broken feet, sesamoiditis and profound back and knee injuries.)
- Real wood continuous ballet barres designed specifically for our studio
- (These are not the handrails or closet rods you find in typical studios. These ballet barres are installed in professional studios throughout the world including the Orleans Art Center in Canada.)
- High quality, distortion free, full height and length polished glass mirrored walls
- (Our mirrors are low enough so that foot position can be seen in all locations of the studio.)
- Sound dampening dramatic stage curtains throughout
- (This helps control echo commonly found in most studios and adds an artful flair.)

 | Billy Elliot Casting Director Calls On Dance ImpressionsThe Casting Director for Billy Elliot The Musical on Broadway in New York just contacted Dance Impressions for a potential private student audition. Apparently, we were recommended by a national organization that said our teachers and students were some of the best in the industry. Dance Impressions students are the only students in the area trained in a triple threat of dancing, acting, and singing. We knew our teachers and leadership in this area would bring big results, but even we were surprised by the endorsement. Congratulations to our hard working DI students. | Students Shoot Ballet Technique Video Kyra and Eliza Peterson shot an online video to demonstrate proper ballet technique. The girls were selected through audition based on their excellent ballet technique and overall impression. The video was shot in downtown Minneapolis in late December.
