Company A & B
Our Company A & B are simply about educating the “whole dancer.” Using proper dance technique rooted in a strong ballet foundation, we focus on teaching the art of dance. Our dance program utilizes the RAD ballet syllabus with Vaganova and American influences. Our jazz, lyrical, tap singing, and acting program is based on classic Broadway techniques with modern and world-wide influences. We fuse that with an advanced acting and singing program that completes the triple threat education. We also offer education in injury prevention, nutrition, auditioning, self-esteem building, and self-motivation. Our goal with this program is to graduate a performer who is prepared to audition and dance on stage with any organization in the country or enter a college level program.
Performance Company B (Competition Program)
Our Company B is designed for students between age 5 and adult wishing to train in a competitive field. These performers will need to attend at least 4 summer programs and will need to attend the 2 week intensive in August for their class placement. Our competition program is unique in that we let our students choose from between 2 to 5 disciplines. This allows it to be flexible and molded to the talents and desires of the student. Each student will have 3 required technique classes (2 ballet and 1 stage technique) to attend each week above their structured class times. They will also attend extra choreography classes on the weekends in the fall of the season.
These performers will work with Program A students for the shows and some amount of training. They will attend 1 Required Workshop with a Competition and a 2nd straight Competition. (For 1 Workshop and 2 Competitions) They will perform in 2 shows throughout a season: The Holiday Extravaganza in December and The Spring Showcase in May. Their tuition schedule will be a Full Season Fee which is broken into 7 Monthly Installments. They will also have a Costume Fee, Shoe Fee, Hair and Make-up Fees, Competition Fees and Workshop Fees. This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to further their training in the arts as a whole and begin to shape their creative side into a clearer view!
Performance Company A (Elite Training Program)
Our Company A is designed for the student age 11 and older wishing to train at an elite pre-professional and professional level. These students will be required to attend as many summer programs as they can with a minimum of 4, and will need to attend 2 week intensive in August for their class placement. Company A students will be placed in an intense program which will be specific to their personal needs. These performers will focus on training for shows. These performers will NOT be able to choose how extensive they would like to train, they will be placed in disciplines accordingly with a main emphasis on Ballet & Pointe. They will have a required number of technique classes (ballet, stretch, stage technique & others) to attend each week above their structured class times. They will also attend extra choreography classes on the weekends in the fall of the season.
These performers will work with Company B students for the shows and some amount of training. They will be required to attend 3 workshops and perform in 1 competition at a one of the workshops they attend. They will travel on at least one occasion for training. They will not do other competitions, but will do 1 small showcase of their accomplishments. This showcase will be in addition to the other 2 shows throughout a season: The Holiday Extravaganza in December and The Spring Showcase in May. Their tuition schedule will be a Full Season Fee which is broken into 7 Monthly Installments. They will also have a Costume Fee, Shoe Fee, Hair and Make-up Fees, Competition Fees and Workshop Fees.
Performance Company A will be the ADVANCED Company of Dancers/Actors/Singers within Dance Impressions. The performers wishing to be considered for this will need to be 11 years old as of September 1st, 2009. This is for the performer wishing to consider a life in the field of arts and who is dedicated to working above and beyond!
Professional Success
In each of these programs we offer a number of performance opportunities throughout the year, competitive options, additional training through higher level workshops, and audition opportunities with major dance organizations in the Midwest, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and other organizations around the country.
Our performers at these two levels have won scholarships, titles and multiple platinum awards on both the regional and national level from Jump, Break The Floor Productions, LA Dance Magic, Pacific Coast Dance Fest, West Coast Dance Explosion, Hall of Fame, Spotlight Dance Cup and many others. Our students have won positions in the Moscow Ballet and the Hopkins Youth Ballet. Our students have gone on to work with major industry professionals including Christian Perry, choreographer and performer to Dancing With The Stars and Angela Paige Davis. They have also gon on to dance with national dance organizations such as the Rockettes, Philadelphia Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Minnesota Dance Theater, Moscow Ballet, Radio City Rockettes, Hubbard Dance Companies, Alvin Ailey, LA Performing Arts Center, Justin Timberlake Dancers, MTV, BET, Las Vegas Follies, and a number of NBA dance teams to name a few.
We hold a Placement Intensive for our Performance Company A & B in August of each year. Individual placement is available at various times throughout the year on a limited basis. For those interested in advancing their train to audition to prepare for A & B auditioning, we have a number of packages that include Company C classes and technique training. Please contact us for more information at (763) 488-1611 or by email.
