Adventures
Fun Learning Events
Dance Impressions believes it is important to have a wide variety of artful experiences. With this in mind, we will be offering adventures to performances and other venues outside of the studio. These events will provide opportunities to see professional performances in dancing, acting, and singing. Many of these events will include either a pre- or post- performance discussions or a meeting with the artists. These events will be open to anyone interested in attending. Watch for more information.
Our 2008-09 Adventures included:
- James Sewell Ballet
- Performances from Fall at the O'Shaugnessey Auditorium in St. Paul. This was their "First Chance Dance" affordable and appropriate for children of all ages. Included a discussion about performance by James Sewell. This dance troupe is not your typical ballet.
- Saint Paul Chamber Ballet
- A re-envisioning of the Nutcracker directed By Phillip Carmen (Former Guest Ballet Expert at Dance Impressions) in St. Paul, MN. Mr. Carmen is an amazing ballet technician and has taught Dance Impressions students. You will be impressed and surprised.
- The Metropolitan Ballet
- A professional and classic version of the holiday tradition in Hopkins, MN.
- The Moscow Ballet
- A seasonal highlight at the Ordway Theater in downtown Minneapolis which included performances form Dance Impressions students.
Please note that adventure offerings are subject to change depending on scheduling conflicts and group size. Everyone is responsible for their own transportation. Detailed information will be made available as soon as possible. Call us at 763-488-1611 or via email for more information.
